About The Artist

One major theme that resonates throughout the art of Minnie Watkins is her bold celebration of life, courage, and goodwill. Whether the work is a portrait or abstract, one is drawn to its intrinsic warmth and compelling narrative. Her finesse innately lends itself to branding and theming objectives.

An artist with 25 years of experience, Minnie mostly employs acrylic on canvas. Best known for her mastery in black and white imagery, she is equally as lucid with creating portraits in color, mixed media, and abstract portraiture thanks to her long tenure in advertising as designer, illustrator, and art director.

Minnie draws from the energy projected by people in everyday life: dancers, children playing, athletes, and the like; she is particularly inspired by jazz musicians. Minnie redirects that energy to inspire others to be just as courageous in pursuing their dreams.

Picture a Minnie Watkins work in your office, conference room or foyer, accentuating your stage set or innovative next project. It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words, but in the case of Minnie Watkins art, a picture is worth a million smiles.
